Hi, I’m Habib!
I’m aa freelance photographer based in Amsterdam. I started Alter Imagery as a personal journey — a space where I could see honestly and tell stories as they are. What began as curiosity slowly became a way to connect with people, light, and time.
The name Alter Imagery carries what I believe in. Alter is about seeing from another angle, being open to what’s often overlooked. Imagery is the language I use to express feeling and thought without words. Together, they reflect how I see photography — quiet, sincere, and observant.
Most of my work centers on PhD defenses, captured in a calm, documentary way. I like to stay in the background, letting moments unfold naturally, catching emotion in its most genuine form. Beyond that, I create artistic work — portraits, street scenes, and travel stories — where I explore light, solitude, and the quiet traces of human presence.
Photography, to me, is not performance but perception, an honest act of noticing.
